Cloud Infrastructure ManagerA highly reputable financial corporation is currently recruiting a Cloud Infrastructure Manager who has strong experience in Azure/AWS/IaaS and PaaS service on a FTC basis paying up to £70,000 PA as they embark on an challenging multi-site cloud upgrade.
The Cloud Infrastructure Manager will lead and ensure successful delivery through the definition, design, implementation and go-live stages of the project. Responsible for the design, document, build and maintaining secure on premise and cloud infrastructure. You will organise and monitor software and configuration changes. You will also be responsible for the management and maintenance of all internal technology products within the business. This includes both virtual and physical servers and on premise and cloud infrastructure.
Core responsibilities:
Ownership of all operational on premise, public cloud (services covering Iaas, PaaS)
Assist the Service Delivery Manager in major incidents processes.
Identify opportunities for business process optimisation and reducing cost of BAU
Accountable for a team of engineers ensuring any escalated issues are resolved and documented
Responsible for leading the cloud migration of existing on premise solutions
An escalation point for all infrastructure systems, identify bottlenecks and implement remedies.
Ensure Cloud systems maintain compliance with internal, external and client accreditation obligations
Configuration, administration, installation and upgrading infrastructure
Responsible for ensuring the configuration, release and performance management of all cloud systems
Partnering with the Cloud Service Delivery Manager to develop automation tools across Public and Private cloud solutions
Demonstrable experience troubleshooting and diagnosing Windows and VMware based virtualisation environments.
Able to act as the top level of escalation, working in conjunction with the Group Head and Technology Manager to resolve any issues as necessary.
Responsible for leading the cloud adoption/migration of existing on premise solutions.
Key technical skill set:
5+ years' proven operational experience working in a similar role.
5+ years' hands on knowledge of Azure/AWS and IaaS and PaaS service.
M365 knowledge, experienced in adopting and deploying the features available.
Experience in managing hybrid infrastructure environments, consisting of on premise and public cloud; PaaS, SaaS, IaaS services.
Strong technical background including storage, systems administration along with the ability to recommend technical solutions to business needs.
Experience with infrastructure and staff capacity forecasting.
Background in networking, telephony and databases.
Automation techniques such as terraform
