IT Operations Manager

A highly reputable and market leading financial corporation is currently hiring an IT Operations Manager who will be responsible for the daily operations and oversight of the cloud infrastructure within a multi-million corporation. This role is paying up to £70,000 + Bonus + Remote Working options (some office presence is required).

To be considered for this role, you must have demonstrated proven experience within service desk/desktop/infrastructure support and be able to provide strategy, governance, capacity planning and resourcing for a small to medium sized corporation who is about to embark on a cloud transformation.

Core responsibilities:
                        •                 Implementing solutions to challenges and problems, including deputising for the Group Head in their absence.
                        •                 Develop and improve infrastructure plans, services, policies, procedures and processes
                        •                 Identify and take action to mitigate risk, ensuring effective controls are in place.
                        •                 Driving redress to increase the effectiveness of our services; identify and implement continuous improvement;
                        •                 Contribute to the design and delivery of a quality improvement framework by analysing and interpreting data;
                        •                 Support the delivery of a wellbeing framework for employees and contribute to the overall development of staff
                        •                 Oversee timing, resources, scheduling and staffing to effectively meet high demand and keep customer experience smooth and timely.
                        •                 Take a hands-on role where necessary, particularly on project management work, IT budget forecasting, DR Tests
                        •                 Prioritise workload and focus for the on and off-site technical resources
                        •                 Leading teams of highly technical professional specialists during change/release management
                        •                 Operationalising, implementing and developing the Groups IT Operations Strategy to provide direction to teams.
                        •                 Assist in analysis, planning and oversight of all elements of the Group's Infrastructure Operations
                        •                 Working with key stakeholders across the globe to build and maintain infrastructure systems which are effectively managed & implemented
                        •                 Translating organisational direction into specific team and individual job expectations through effective coaching, performance management and monitoring

Essential:
                        •                 Equivalent to 10+ years' experience of service desk/desktop or specialised IT Operational support experience or similar role
                        •                 Equivalent to 10+ years' experience in management including recruiting talent, managing current performance and training and mentoring staff
                        •                 5+ years' experience coordinating installations, upgrades, and maintenance of day-to-day operations.
                        •                 5+ years' experience working knowledge and understanding of Continual service improvement lifecycle
                        •                 5+ years' experience leading service delivery around applications, Cloud, websites etc. in a multi-office global environment
                        •                 Technical knowledge of operational infrastructure (Azure/AWS, Virtual Data Centre), devices (laptops/ virtual desktops)
                        •                 Experience supporting service delivery function
                        •                 Experience in running or influencing Incident, request and change Management
