What you'll do An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our IT Department as an IT Operations Support Engineer in a close, agile, and motivated team. How you will make an impact As an IT Operations Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing support across all internal operational systems and infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role will include providing day-to-day support, maintenance, and troubleshooting, as well as managing other IT Operations tasks such as patch management, hardware, and software maintenance.   You'll also provide project support, installation, upgrades, and implementation of new technologies. How you will add value Provide escalation assistance. Perform administration of all IT Operations - configuration, maintenance, security, backups, disaster recovery and incident response. Maintain strong relationships between colleagues, teams, and the business. Create technical documentation and KBA's detailing IT Operational systems and processes. Contribute to new ideas, technologies, and ways of working. About You Hands-on experience of virtual environments, enterprise level storage systems, server hardware and software. Proven operational knowledge of Windows Server and operating systems including SQL, IIS, Active Directory and Citrix. Sound knowledge and experience of ‘Cloud' based services like Azure backup, disaster recovery and Office 365. Excellent knowledge of system security, backup, disaster recovery systems and processes. Solid understanding of network technologies, routers, and firewalls. Brilliant incident and problem management skills. A tenacious approach to problem solving complex issues as a team player and using your own initiative. First-class attention to detail, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to effectively work under pressure using time management and prioritisation skills.
