About the UK Hydrographic Office 

The UK Hydrographic Office is an executive agency, sponsored by the Ministry of Defence. We work with a wide range of data suppliers and partners, surveying and charting the world's oceans in order to develop and serve world leading software and data solutions to commercial shipping companies, navies and maritime organisations. Our products ensure safe navigation and global trade efficiency and support other marine activities, including economic development, environmental protection, resource exploration and utilisation, scientific research and security and defence. 

The role

You will be joining an established team of Business Analysts, where you will be given training, mentoring and support by our Senior BAs. Your duties will be varied and will include leading small to medium sized projects and supporting on larger complex ones, analysing current business services and processes and identifying and implementing opportunities to optimise/improve these.

Key to the role will be your ability to identify important stakeholders, tailor communications to their needs, and work with teams to build and improve relationships.

As part of your development, you will undertake the British Computer Society International Diploma in Business Analysis. After passing written and oral exams (typically over a 2-year period), you will have the opportunity to progress to Senior Business Analyst.
