Manage the construction phase of commercial fit out projects covering:Project planning and delivery.Responsible for CDM coordination, health & safety, quality and environmental aspects on site.Good understanding of specifications / drawings, CDM regulations and all relevant Health & Safety legislation.Maintaining accurate site records.Competent in using Microsoft Excel, Work and ProjectPreferred to have experience working with a PM software like Procore or similar.

The skills and specifications required in a person desiring to do the job of a Site Manager are as follows: needs to be very well organized and systematic towards the work.needs to have a thorough and deep knowledge about construction activities and all functions.needs to be an excellent communicator and should have both good verbal and written skills.should have good interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain good relationships with everyone.should have the qualities of being a good leader.needs to be able to foresee risk, plan accordingly and have excellent trouble shooting skills to deal with any circumstances in a calm and collected manner.should be capable of understanding the construction designs and plans.Site Manager Core Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe site manager has the responsibility to ensure that all the construction activities meet the design, specifications, and quality of workmanship with no exceptions. Check deliveries for accuracy to specifications, quantities, and quality as they arrive and report deficiencies immediately.Make visual inspections of the work as it proceeds to ensure specifications and quality is maintained.Ensure that all the construction activity is proceeding per programme communicate with the Project Manager when this becomes a concern. Hold a weekly meeting on site with the foreman for each trade scheduled to be on site and include trades scheduled to be on site in the future to ensure they have the labour, materials and equipment to be able to meet the schedule.Review the schedule at the end of each day and track performance. Discuss any loss of production against the schedule with the appropriate parties immediately and build a plan to get back on track in a short a time as possible.Track misc. material purchases against the budget weekly and report any concerns with the Project Manager as soon as overages are anticipated.Ensure that all the safety measures on the construction site are followed and oversee that the workers are safe and healthy to do the job. Hold a weekly meeting safety meeting at the start of the first shift each week. Include all directly employed personnel and the foreman for each trade working on site to raise awareness of any work scheduled for that week that may affect the safety of operatives on the site (i.e. crane picks, concrete pours, deliveries etc.)Walk the site weekly using the safety checklist to ensure all procedures are met.Talk to each person on site regularly to ensure they're competent to be working on the job site in a safe manner. If there is any doubt to a person's ability to work safely this needs to be brought to the attention of that person's supervisor immediately and may result in that person being removed from the site for the remainder of the day or longer.Review the performance of all site workers whether sub-contractors or direct employees daily and report any concerns to the PM instantly. Monitor quality and performance of all people on site on a regular basis. If either comes into question, then this should be addressed with the individuals' supervisor immediately. If not addressed in a timely manner it should be escalated to the Project Manager.Needs to be present on the site all times while work is being performed. If time away from the site during hours of operation is necessary, then it's the Managers responsibility to communicate that within the team and ensure that a competent person directly employed by CBI can be present to supervise with no exceptions.It will be their responsibility to organize the construction crew to allocate work according to the schedule.
