About us

The Company specializes in the development of harsh environment optical sensors for pressure and temperature sensing applications in the global Power Generation, Energy and Aerospace markets. Using optical spectrometry techniques, we work with both blue-chip OEM and small government'funded projects to develop leading-edge sensing solutions.

The role

The successful candidate will support development activities across multiple projects within the company including "hands-on" development of new sensing systems as well as working to transition prototype products to production. You will work with Engineering, Operations, Quality and Test functions.

Day-to-day activities will include:

Transfer to production of interrogator design, including test rig development, in'house training, sub'contract liaison

Software development for production test

Software development for hardware components and integration in larger systems

Execution of qualification and acceptance testing

Execution of test programs and evaluation of 3rd party devices

Hardware prototyping

Consultancy on electronics components, interfaces, general design items

Design and process documentation

You will need:

Degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Electronics, Physics, Engineering) plus > 4 years industrial experience

Experience in NI LabVIEW programming to control test equipment and acquire data

Other software development experience (e.g. C, Python, MatLAB, Julia)

Understanding of electronics design principles including microcontrollers

Awareness of requirements for EMC compliance, ATEX/IECEx

Ability to analyse and present data

Strong communication/presentation skills

Comfortable in cross-disciplinary environment

Desirable experience:

Optoelectronics, photonics, sensing, fiber optics

PCBA manufacturing

Product development (design to production)
