Lead the development and adoption of best practice engineering design standards and procedures Define the future state architecture and approach to technical issuesClient DetailsYou have the opportunity to work with a growing national Telecoms organisation embedded within the Broadcast network across the UK.DescriptionNetwork Solution Architect - Telecoms/Broadcast This influential role will give you a great opportunity to collaborate with key teams across the business, sharing knowledge and skills and influencing designers, engineers and developers across a broad range of projects. Your key responsibilities will include: Lead the development and adoption of best practice engineering design standards and procedures, and apply quality assurance processes to ensure that end-to-end technical designs and builds meet technical requirements and standards Provide support to the development of commercial proposals relating to complex technical and commercial requirements, and analyse and solve unique, complex and high impact problems Engage with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements and design solutions to meet agreed specifications Provide detailed documented technical solutions and reports for distribution both internally and externally Define the future state architecture and approach to technical issues and contribute to the development of strategy and future developments, and Identify and control technical risks and issues Plan technical and architecture development and modifications and recommend process, product or service improvements Provide technical expertise and guidance to the bid management process internal stakeholders and customers, and technical leadership within the team, sharing knowledge and skills and providing mentoring support to engineers and technicians ProfileNetwork Solution Architect - Telecoms/Broadcast Must Haves Architectural experience covering service provider, datacentre and public cloud network technologies. Track record of creating Concept-Level and High-Level Designs with a commercial focus and appreciation of total cost of ownership. Able to identify, analyse and specify design and development requirements, products, processes, systems and services sourced internally and tendered from third party suppliers. Track record of building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders. Might Haves Experience using own knowledge of internal capabilities to meet customer needs while identifying opportunities for innovation. Architectural experience covering private and public cloud network solutions including Cisco, Azure, AWS, VMWare NSX and container network technologies. Experience with access technologies, such as WiFi, xDSL, satellite and microwave radio would be advantageous. Demonstrated experience of actively researching emerging technologyDemonstrated experience in applying security principles and solutions to Service Provider networks. Relevant certifications in Cisco, VMWare, Azure, AWS technologies, products and services. Track record of identifying and mitigating operational risks and constraints.
