The project/programme includes up to 8 workpackages, each having a technical lead and delivery team comprising Subject Matter Experts from throughout industry. The project manager will have overarching responsibility for the management, co-ordination and delivery of the output of all work packages. They will be supported by an exceptional team of technical managers, procurement, financial and commercial teams.Depending on the success of the project, and the ability of the candidate, a larger follow on programme of work may be secured during this contract giving potential for a contract extension. That has the potential to include the delivery of the planned concept demonstrator activities during FY22-FY23.Key skills:Alongside excellent project managment skills and a proven track record of delivering to time, cost and quality specificially this role requires excellent Stakeholder management, communication & potential conflict resolution.The majority of the work will be led and delivered by a wide variety of companies, so managing subcontractors performance and delivery will be key.The Project Manager will report directly to the client's Portfolio Manager so clear reporting of the projects progress will be required.There will also be multiple customer stakeholders to manage and brief during the project.Desireable skills & experience:Knowledge of a PM toolsetDelivering defence projects/programmesAbilty to commute to Farnborough, Hampshire - most of the work can be completed from a home office environmentExperience of managing large, distributed, collaborative teams For more information please APPLY NOW.Fahad McCann
