We are Vehicle Vision, an award-winning company and ‘Champions of Change' within personalised video software. We are based in Leicester, but our products are used in the UK, Europe and across the world. We are looking to recruit a Developer to work on the development of our software products as part of the service we provide to our growing number of customers...... Interested?

Are you a Junior Developer looking for the next step up where you can grow and develop? Do you want to work within a small but growing company? Are you ambitious? If you are excited about writing API first applications, then we would be interested in talking to you.

The Developer responsibilities will include:

Develop upon and maintain our SaaS based video software products.

Cover both client and server-side code.

Write well formed, documented, and testable code.

Ensure that technical decisions support our goals of performance, quality, reliability, scalability and security.

Performing code reviews.

Communicate effectively with the wider business.

Work with the support team to solve 3rd line issues.

Work with the testing team to fix bugs.

As the successful Developer, you will have the following skills and experience:

A knowledgeable developer with experience of or exposure to a range of front and backend technologies:

PHP

Laravel

Drupal 7

JavaScript

SASS

Have experience writing and working with REST APIs

Are fluent in object-oriented PHP

Write beautiful optimised object-oriented code

Able to work with relational databases such as MySQL

Write readable, unit tested code by default

Version control your code using Git

Are comfortable working on the command line

Able to communicate technical information to non-technical people as needed
