The Role.

A Data Analyst with at least 2 years' experience is required to help with the technical implementation and support of data flows across the Workplace Technology team . This position will be a key technical resource in the team and will be involved in all aspects of the service delivery lifecycle.

We are looking for someone with a passion for data, with proven experience of designing and developing end-to-end solutions in a start-up environment. You will be involved in developing the core integrations and data workflows that will drive SPW workplace technology.

You will need to have the confidence with dealing with stakeholders at all levels as well as the in-depth knowledge of data integration to help drive user adoption and deliver solutions to a professional standard.

Here are some of the things you will be working on:

Delivery of data pipelines and outputs to meet business requirements

Work will be independent and as part of a wider team as required

Discern project risks, impacts and mitigation strategies

Coordinating activities with vendor, Internal Communications team and stakeholders

Assist in communication of project contents, approach, progress and results

Contributing to a project backlog that is maintained, groomed and prioritized on a regular basis

Contribute to the project running efficiently through Agile Workflow best practices

Contribute to process improvement through team learnings, etc.

Assist automation, scaling, and continuous improvement of development practices

Essential Skills

Data Engineering: demonstrable experience of building data pipelines in a cloud native environment with an in-depth understanding of best practice

AWS S3: practical experience in the AWS environment, including S3 and Glue

Communication: able to communicate and engage with the business using non-technical way and to gather/replay requirements

Documentation skills: able to create and manage relevant documentation to support delivery

Agile: awareness and ability to deliver in an Agile environment

Service support - Able to help fix faults following agreed procedures. Carries out agreed infrastructure maintenance tasks.

Systems design - Translates logical designs into physical designs. Produces detailed designs and documents all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate. Designs systems characterised by managed levels of risk, manageable business and technical complexity and meaningful impact. Works with well-understood technology and identifies appropriate patterns.

Systems integration - Able to build and test simple interfaces between systems, or can work on more complex integration as part of a wider team.

User focus - Able to collaborate with user researchers and can sell or represent users internally. Understands the difference between user needs and desires of the user. Able to champion user research to focus on all users. Can prioritise and defines approaches to understand the user story, guiding others in doing so. Can offer recommendations on the best tools and methods to be used.

Desired Skills

Experience in managing and configuring 3rd party enterprise SaaS solutions such as Workday

An understanding of Agile methodologies

Experience of working with Atlassian products such as JIRA and Confluence.

Experience working with or managing an ITSM product.
