This is a great opportunity to join a leading UK health and retail company in London.  Job summary: As a procurement manager, you will be positioned between the commercial teams and the suppliers, ensuring that all materials and components required for manufacturing, R&D and finished goods are sourced responsibly, reliably, and at the best price. You will be responsible for hands on End-to-End procurement, including but not limited to: domestic and international sourcing strategies, contract negotiation, creation and implementation of policy, and proactive supplier management, with the ability to build new processes within the Procurement function.  Responsibilities:
New global supplier creation, transition, and support, whilst also establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key domestic and international suppliers.Contract creation, negotiation and management.Support the development of processes to ensure compliance related to key supply chain procurement requirements such as quality control, storage and distribution for chemicals, biologics, medical devices and various components.Review, amend and improve supplier performance and contract management toolsRegularly meet with suppliers and perform site visits to develop comprehensive knowledge and insights.Conduct due diligence and risk assessment of procurement/supplier activities to identify points of vulnerability and devise remedial plans.Delivery of improvements in procurement strategy, execution, and commercial results.Experience:
Computer literate, including proficiency in Microsoft and implementation of procurement systems (MRP, ERP etc.) Experience in stock management systems.Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end supply chain interactions and interdependencies.Knowledge of and procurement experience in the regulatory requirements, linked to procurement within the chemical industry, pharmaceutical or medical device industry.Experience within a strategic purchasing / procurement role in a manufacturing environment and understanding of manufacturing processes and quality controls, multi component BOM management.APPLY NOW!
