We have a fantastic opportunity for a Software Engineer joining our Logistics Systems Team. A day in the life of... Reporting to the Logistics Systems Lead, you will be part of the Logistics Systems Team, handling supply chain systems and processes across NUK and affiliates.
 
This role encompasses multiple elements of analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance across distribution and transportation systems. You will scope, strategize and own innovative and traditional business solutions, managing them through to successful implementation and beyond.
 
Whilst project management is a key responsibility, supporting the day-to-day operation, ensuring availability and sharing best practice is also important; allowing systems and process to peacefully exist in unison. The team also covers Out-of-Hours support via an "on-call" rota. Key responsibilities of the role include:

   To play an active role in projects, in collaboration with both internal partners and external parties to execute the business priorities of Supply Chain effectively and efficiently.
   Detailed B2B solution design with full competence in the systems lifecycle.
   Operational/business process analysis. process design and optimisation through system driven solutions.
   Software development of customer-logistics systems and EDI interfaces.
   Database Admin/Management for Market logistics systems.
   SQL report authoring and PLSQL programming.
   Ensure reliability and enable proactive sustain processes for solutions within the teams portfolio.
 
What will make you successful To be successful in this role, you will be able demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and operational awareness. You will be an systems programmer with an understanding of end-to-end projects. You will be adaptable, able to work at pace and enjoy working in a complex and detail driven environment.  Other key experiences we are looking for:   Preferably Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent training
   Technical knowledge and demonstrated fluency in at least one of the following: C#, C++, VB.net, PLSQL/Oracle.
   Flexibility and agility to solve problems, working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver results
