Lead Java EngineerRemote UK or Europe
£75,000 - £100,000
A market leading security business are looking to expand their team by adding a Technical Lead Java Engineer to their team on a permanent basis, based out of the UK on a remote basis or one of their Europe sites. They have several UK sites and the Lead Java Engineer will be required to go into the office for the occasional meeting. The successful Lead Java Engineer with have the opportunity to gain a great understanding of Big Data and Analytics, experience building scalable applications from the ground up and gain strong knowledge of how to integrate key features into applications to improve existing functionality as well as end-end integrations. The Lead Java Engineer will be working within the cloud on highly securable applications which genuinely makes a difference to people’s lives! There is plenty of opportunity for the Lead Java Engineer to progress up the ranks with ample career progression available. This is a global organisation and there will be interactions with development teams worldwide including management of overseas teams.
Essential Skills:
Still currently hands on (70/30 split hands on/hands off)5+ years commercial experience working with Java (OOP)Strong experience with Spring frameworks such as Spring boot/Spring DataExperience working on large scale, enterprise systemsGood front end experience with HTML/CSS and JavaScript (Angular.js would be highly desirable)Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDBAny knowledge of security practicesExcellent understanding of SOLID principlesGood understanding of caching techniques such as RabbitMQExperience mentoring and leading development teamsDesirable Skills:
Experience with streaming platforms, Kafka, or similarExperience working with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or similar toolsBenefits:
