Liverpool City Council has an opportunity for an ICT Technical Professional to work within ICT Technical Management: Database Administration Team (other companies may know this as a Technical Professional (Oracle DBA). The successful candidate will be accountable for monitoring, management, maintenance and support of Liverpool City Council's Oracle Databases infrastructure. The role includes project co-ordination responsibilities where appropriate. The post is 35 hours across 7 days at the discretion of management and may include some unsocial hours.

Incident management and fault resolution including disaster recovery of specific designated architecture, systems or applications, including communication with the customer to support operational return and user acceptance testing.

Designated responsibility for specific ICT support (database) within ICT Operate.

Implement customer service, supporting Team Leadership to meet and exceed contractual SLA's and to maintain customer happiness.

Undertake customer communication for ICT problem diagnosis and resolution including on call emergency support where required; may be required to provide full 24-hour on call emergency support.

To ensure compliance and deliver maximum utilisation of resources through efficient process re-engineering and continuous improvement.

Deliver operational support for the designated platform or system infrastructure.
