The RoleWe're recruiting for a Senior System Engineer for our SRE Application Operations team. In this role you'll support the maintenance of our various technologies such as AWS Cloud Environments, CA Autosys, IBM Sterling, IBM MQ & IBM WebSphere Application Server, and work to identify and resolve issues as they arise. You'll support other teams by providing advice and support on your areas of technical expertise.We're offering our Senior System Engineer an excellent development opportunity to upskill in the full range of technologies across the integration layer to learn how the whole banking infrastructure hangs together. You'll work with Major Incident Managers, 3rd party suppliers, IT Architects and Project Managers to give your opinions and influence the direction of our projects. What you'll bringTo be considered for this System Engineer role you'll have experience of working in Financial industry, Line management with a keen focus on developing junior colleagues, a grasp of License Management, Patching Management and ability to engage across senior stakeholder lines.Project Management capabilities would be an advantage working in a UNIX based OS environment running JAVA applications. Experience working within this operating system is essential. Bash or similar scripting tools would be advantageousExcellent people skills and be able to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally.
