Do you have proven experience of blending and interrogating multiple sources of data to achieve exceptional levels of actionable insight across different audiences, consumers, and markets plus a good understanding of the principles of database management and marketing? Then join Shelter as a Senior Insight and Data Analyst and you could soon be playing a vital role at the heart of our Income Generation department.  About Shelter
A home is a fundamental human need, as essential as education or healthcare. Yet millions of people across Britain struggle on a daily basis with homelessness, bad housing conditions, soaring rents, discrimination and the threat of eviction. So, we are striving for change, with individuals, in communities, across society, and leading the way to a safe home. We need ambitious, best-in-class individuals who are passionate about our cause to join us at this exciting time. This is your chance to play a part in the fundamental change we are striving to achieve. At Shelter we are united by our purpose to defend the right to a safe home. Our enemy is the social injustice at the core of the escalating housing emergency. We believe that to win that fight, we must be representative of the people we are here to help and those who support our movement for change. In all our people decisions, we take pride in being inclusive, fair, equitable and transparent. We have committed to combat racism both within and outside Shelter and welcome you on our journey to becoming a truly anti-racist organisation. About the team Part of our award-winning Income generation department, the Data Management & Insight Team deliver high quality data and database management, administrative services and business insight to the department and other teams across Shelter. Custodians of supporter data for its full life cycle, running through everything we do is a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data quality and embedding a culture of standards, both in terms of compliance and best practice across the department.  About the Role This crucial role will see you produce segmentations, trend analysis, forecasting and reporting for client teams within the Income Generation department, as well as for wider circulation throughout Shelter. Indeed, your output will be essential in enabling insight driven Income Generation decision making. It will also see you collaborate with the Insight Manager to create a dynamic and innovative Insight team. Day-to-day, you'll work on a range of technology platforms as you design and deliver a suite of reporting and analysis that meets client need whilst also highlighting areas for growth, increased investment opportunities and surfacing areas of challenging activity performance. And, along the way, you'll get to use digital reporting tools like Adobe Campaign to provide reporting and insight on email campaigns, online donations, conversions and social presence and blend this with financial and supporter data stored within an Azure Data Warehouse environment. About you To succeed, you'll need a logical approach to work and exceptional skills in data interpretation, manipulation and segmentation models. You'll also need the ability to build, implement and continually improve segmentations and predictive models across a range of fundraising activity using coding language such as SQL, R or Python. Experience of regularly updating and fine-tuning advanced models to better predict supporter retention rates, lifetime value and forecast income is important too. And, when it comes to developing data analytics, modelling and reporting from an Azur Data Warehouse to improve business/audience understanding and drive performance or creating queries to extract, interrogate or aggregate information from relational databases, again, you excel. What's more, you have what it takes to communicate clearly and assertively with a wide range of audiences and present complex information in a user friendly way. Benefits We offer a wide range of benefits, including 30 days of annual leave, enhanced family friendly policies, pension and interest free travel loans. Our employees also have access to a tenancy deposit loan, payroll giving, cycle to work scheme and an employee assistance programme. Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through our advice, support and legal services. And we campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to us for help. We're here so no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own.  To find out more about the role and the benefits of working for Shelter please visit our website.
