LG are looking to recruit an experienced commercial Head of Legal (5 to 10 PQE as a guide) to join our UK and Ireland legal team in Weybridge. You're honest and you will speak up (politely, of course!), but you do it because you care and because it's the right thing to do.DescriptionDay-to-day responsibilities will include the following:* Drafting, negotiating and advising on general commercial contracts including supply, procurement and distribution agreements* Antitrust including SDAs* Compliance and related administration (including delivering training and compliance updates with use of the internal compliance portal)* Privacy Manager role - Data protection (including EU and UK GDPR, PECR and e-privacy, dealing with data subject requests, record keeping as required and negotiating and concluding data processing agreements)* Intellectual property* Marketing and advertising (including general ads, promotions and influencer activity)* Consumer law (for consumer facing terms such as warranties, consumer queries, b2c sales)* Commercial disputes and litigation* Property matters* New laws/regulations that can impact any aspect of the business (the candidate will have exposure to trade and/or government bodies, where required)* Regulatory matters including WEEE* Promotion and the use of LG's contract management system together with other systems as required* Management of 1 team membersProfileAs a guide, the candidate will have approximately 5 to 10 years' PQE, however any candidates with a demonstrable ability to fill the role will be considered.Commercial law experience is essential and experience working in the technology industry, especially in consumer electronics, is highly desirable.Necessary skills to fulfil the job successfully:* An interest in and knowledge of technology* In depth knowledge of contract and data protection law* Ability to balance legal risks with commercial needs* Excellent communicator and able to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organisation (both oral and written)* A strong negotiator* Able to multitask with rapidly changing priorities in a dynamic environment* Self-starter and able to work independently* Flexible, strong and self-assured personality* Commercial "client first" mentality Job Offer9% Employer Contribution into your PensionLife AssurancePrivate Healthcare (including optical & dental) for you and your family25 Days' Annual Leave (+ Public Holidays)Staff DiscountSubsidised CafeteriaCar Allowance or Company Car
