Core VMWare, Networking and Microsoft skills sought with a willingness to learnClient DetailsA Scottish Managed Service Provider that combines proven expertise across IT, Operations, Security, Services, and Management into a fully end-to-end managed service provider - out of our wholly owned Tier III data centre.DescriptionThe role will involve working with the team to support BAU activities as well as internal upgrades and migrations to ensure day to day operational delivery and ongoing development of internal cloud platforms and systems. It also involves working with external customers to deliver a range of cloud and infrastructure to meet evolving business needs. As such the role is a mixture of BAU support, internal facing and customer facing project work. ProfileYou will have previous experience in supporting and managing datacentre solutions (networks, servers, storage, and applications). You will have strong knowledge in one/two or more of the following: NetworkingServersStorageHypervisorFirewalls/SecurityModern backup and DR toolsetsMonitoring solutionsSQL ServerWorking knowledge of Public Cloud providers (e.g.) GCP, AWS, AzureExperience/ exposure to backup and disaster recovery technologies, utilising replication etc.Excellent problem-solving skillsGood understanding of Security best practisesThis role ideally suited to a candidate looking to gain exposure to a wide range of technologies.
