The Head of Transformation Office plays a vital leadership role within the Transforming Digital programme designing, setting up, leading, managing and continuously improving the PMO.   

The role will report into the Programme Director - Transforming Digital, taking responsibility for the monitoring and assurance of delivery, as well as for significant enabling services such as resource planning and a wide range of support services.  

They are also responsible for the continuous improvement of delivery practises across the programme.  They are a key member of the programme leadership, playing a significant role in leading and promoting greater capability across the whole programme, the Digital PMO Guild and the wider parliamentary PMO community. 

The Transforming Digital (TD) programme was established by the leadership of both Houses in response to the recommendations of the Stance Report and subsequent reviews. The vision for TD as set by the Digital Strategy Board (DSB) is Unlocking Parliament's Potential, further described as: 

by 2025 Parliament is confidently using digital as an accelerator. 

Parliament can work at the speed of today; and 

Parliament is seen as an employer of choice, attracting the best and brightest talent. 

TD will be delivering new technology, changes to processes and governance, service transformation, people and capability development and organisational redesign (and much more). The Outline Business Case for the programme (which set out the case for investment and the scope for TD) was approved in autumn 2021. The programme has now launched into an ambitious 1st Tranche of delivery from October 2021 - March 2023.
