The Senior Photonics Engineer is required for a multinational company in Cambridge working on cutting edge technology to increase efficiencies in optical telecommunication components. The role will include capturing requirements, new product design, NPI and system improvements. The Senior Photonics Engineer will understand Photonics Design, Optical Simulation, and Measurement techniques. Experience with PICs and Silicon Photonics is a plus. The key skills of the Senior Photonics Engineer will include: PhD in Photonics / OpticsZemax for optical simulation
Lumerical FDTD for waveguides
Free Space Optics
Experimental setups The ideal candidate will have proven experience with experimental setups, prototyping and taking multiple different products from concept through to volume manufacture.
