An award winning, well-recognized, successful, and high technology business based in Peterborough, (Cambridgeshire) have an exciting new vacancy to hire for a Senior Electronics & Firmware Engineer to join the organization on a either a full-time employment or temp to perm basis. The Senior Electronics & Firmware Engineering role will have a good combination on the design and development for Electronics Hardware, PCB Design, Embedded Software & Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) of new products.
Salary & Rates:
The permanent salary on offer for the successful Senior Electronics & Firmware Engineer is £40,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on skillset & experience. The hourly rate for a duration of 3 months is £40-50 hour.
Working from home arrangement: Hybrid working is available, presently you will get the option to work remotely 2-3 times a week.
The Senior Electronics & Firmware Engineer should ideally have the following key skills:
3-5+ years minimum industry experienceExperience in product design lifecycle - from concept to introduction into manufacturingElectronics Circuit Design (Analogue/Digital)PCB Design & Schematic CaptureHigh speed digital circuit designFPGA Design & Development - VHDL, Verilog, XilinxEmbedded software development in C, C++Network interface - I2C, SPI, UART, USB, RS232/485, Ethernet, Wi-FiStrong written and oral communications, team-working and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills for the Senior Electronics & Firmware Engineer to have:
Scripting Languages: Batch, Bash, Tcl & TkEmbedded Design: Experience in using FPGA and FPGA-SoC technologies as well as microprocessors such as ARM and PIC devicesCircuit Simulation: LTSpice, PSpice, ModelSim or similar
