Job DescriptionI am currently recruiting for a well established Financial Services company in London, looking for a Data Analyst / Data specialist to join the project for up to 12 months. The role will allow you to work on niche projects that very few companies on the market can provide, and allow you to improve your skills whilst working for one of the biggest companies in the UK.Role - Data Analyst / Data Specialist Rate - £550-£650Location - Fully Remote Contract Length - 6 months with a view to extending to 12 months Start Date - ASA[ The client is seeking an experienced data analyst to understand business requirements, data specifications and identify gaps in the data. The right candidate will have plenty of experience in analyzing financial, actuarial and Insurance data preferably with Solvency 2 and IFRS17.The right candidate will be comfortable with financial and/or actuarial data, working in a fast-paced team with high-level designers, business SMEs and technical developers. The candidate must be comfortable with SQL and have a cloud background.Demonstration of experience in Alteryx, Tableau Data Prep or similar data prep and BI tools will be a plus.Conduct data analysis and profiling on business requirements.Understand business specifications, and ensure underlying data matches business provided specsUnderstand and analyst data processing rules including transformations, data quality, timingProfile sample data sets and surface any mismatches to business specification, data quality issues or other gaps in data to the business and technical teams.Ensure early indicators are provided to the business for any gaps in data and work alongside the data modeller and developer teamsSupport data design activities by contributing to the design of data flow to support data models and designs, meeting requirementsUse data models and designs in interactions with the wider delivery team, business SMEs and stakeholders, on a day-to-day basisWhat I am looking for:An experienced Data Analyst with strong data experience and expertise in the finance and insurance sectorsExperienced in modern cloud-based data architectureDelivered Data Warehousing/Analytic end to end data designsExperienced in different data profiling, analysis and business requirements analysisSelf-driven and constantly striving to improve how we deliver, supporting clients and customersFinancial Services experience, especially in the Insurance sector for Back-office (actuarial and accounting) and regulatory compliance.
