Location: In line with the Allianz New Working Model, this role is expected to be a ‘hybrid' position, meaning a mix of both home and office work, with travel to our Guildford office on a very flexible basis. Our Data Value Management team is growing and we have created Data Translator role to support delivery of the value to the business. About us: You'll be working alongside data governance, management, quality, master and reference data experts supported by data architects and modellers acting as a conduit between the team and business customer, supporting development of data products that enable us to serve our business better and create competitive advantage. Data Value management is a cross functional data team driving range of enabling capabilities to other data teams and business customers. We are both a data engine room and ensure our Organisation's data is supporting effective operations and is available for analytical purposes to the Allianz Commercial. As one of the largest general insurers in the UK we have unparalleled access to data, and whilst we have our fair share of legacy IT, we are rapidly transforming and modernising our data stack, in particular building in the public cloud (Azure). We create meaningful business value, using the latest data tools and methods, our vast pools of data, combined with deep industry expertise. This is what may be a part of your daily job: Develop and drive our data value management strategy enabling data products that will help hundreds of staff in supporting our customers, and influence our business strategy. Drive adoption of Data Ownership to Allianz Commercial business. Build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders around the business in helping to create data driven solutions to business problems. Play an essential role in creating a bridge between the team's capabilities and the business strategy and priorities. Promote data literacy across the organisation and locate data champions. Support data forums, help to identify improvement opportunities by understanding specific business area's value drivers and help recommend value-driven solutions to key stakeholders. Drive data quality improvements across the organisation, driven by business priorities and simplification of processes. Skills and Experience: To be a success in this role, you'll be a seasoned data professional with strong business acumen as well as the following: Be passionate about data. Understanding of Data Governance & Management best practices and their practical application. Great communication skills and strong stakeholder management across a range of levels. Experience with driving successful data governance initiatives to business stakeholders, enabling and articulating associated value. Experience with some of the contemporary analytical and data management tools (like: Informatica Axon/EDC, IBM InfoSphere, Microstrategy...), or confidence you will learn them fast.
