A home is a fundamental human need, as essential as education or healthcare. Yet millions of people across Britain struggle on a daily basis with homelessness, bad housing conditions, soaring rents, discrimination and the threat of eviction. So, we are striving for change, with individuals, in communities, across society, and leading the way to a safe home. We need ambitious, best-in-class individuals who are passionate about our cause to join us at this exciting time. This is your chance to play a part in our journey. At Shelter we are united by our purpose to defend the right to a safe home. Our enemy is the social injustice at the core of the escalating housing emergency. We believe that to win that fight, we must be representative of the people we are here to help and those who support our movement for change. In all our people decisions, we take pride in being inclusive, fair, equitable and transparent. We have committed to combat racism both within and outside Shelter and welcome you on our journey to becoming a truly anti-racist organisation. About the team The digital team helps Shelter help millions of people each year by doing some really exciting service design work that affects our advice services, our campaigns and our fundraising. We're truly digital and creative leaders, collaborating across the organisation to deliver first-class design, content, products and services, in an agile, iterative and data-driven manner. Disciplines include front-end and back-end development, content design, QA, product management, delivery management and user centred design. Collectively, we set the example for Shelter in digital best practice, discovery and innovation. About the Role Day-to-day, you'll work across multidisciplinary Scrum teams that develop products and services for people who are homeless, or facing the threat of homelessness, plus the professionals and advisors who work with that client group. You'll need to identify opportunities in data trends and share insights with product teams and the wider organisation. You will help evaluate our portfolio of content, digital products and services. In doing this, you'll work with colleagues to understand our audiences, develop and test ideas, and analyse the performance of products throughout their lifecycle. This role operates our compliance process for the tracking of new campaigns, to make sure we stay GDPR compliant. Continuing to build upon our user-focused, evidence driven, agile culture is an important part of this role, as is building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation. About you You'll need the ability to work with senior managers, as well as practitioners, to align your work with wider organisational strategies and provide ideas and suggestions to help achieve our wider aims. You'll need experience of working closely with web developers to implement and configure applications and tracking to give us the quality and depth of data we need. Up-to-date knowledge of the web analytics industry and emerging technologies is important for this role, as is familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and experience of using qualitative analytics tools like Hotjar. You must be adept at distilling complicated and disparate datasets into dashboards and reports that provide excellent insights, and have a keen eye for design and user-engagement. You'll be comfortable communicating the principles of good analytics practice and technical details of web tracking with technical and non-technical audiences, as well as giving insights and recommendations. Benefits
We offer a wide range of benefits, including 30 days of annual leave, enhanced family friendly policies, pension and interest free travel loans. Our employees also have access to a tenancy deposit loan, payroll giving, cycle to work scheme and an employee assistance programme. Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through our advice, support and legal services. And we campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to us for help. We're here so no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own.
