Senior Engineering Manager London to £140k

Senior Engineering Manager (Go Python Java) *Hybrid WfH*. Are you an experienced technology leader with a strong knowledge of modern engineering best practice?

You could be progressing your career in a senior level role at a growing FinTech that is developing a complete retail banking platform that is capable of being configured to suit the needs of any bank.

As a Senior Engineering Manager you will take a lead role in the delivery of complex technical projects on the product roadmap. You'll manage three Engineering Team Leads / Managers with around twenty indirect reports and work closely with Product Managers to help define and deliver a product vision and strategy. You'll provide mentoring and coaching and help to create and maintain high performance engineering teams, actively participating in technical discussions and design reviews to ensure that engineering teams ship consistently high quality, reliable, scalable and secure code.

Requirements:

You have strong experience as an Engineering Manager / Software Development Manager, managing other managers / leads and overseeing multiple teams

You have a strong hands-on technical background (e.g. Golang, Python, Java, AWS, microservices) and a thorough understanding of software development best practices - you're comfortable taking part in technical discussions and decision making

You're collaborative and pragmatic, able to manage stakeholders

You enjoy taking ownership and working autonomously with a high level of responsibility
