An extremely well-funded Semiconductor company, with huge growth plans, is recruiting for a CPU Architect to join their established Hampshire team, based close to Portsmouth. This is an excellent challenge with good earning potential for someone keen to work on high performance processor cores. The CPU Architect will adopt a technical lead position and focus on the definition and design of RISC-V CPU products. You will be responsible for the definition and RTL design of the latest generation of CPUs and microarchitectures, translating system level requirements into hardware and firmware implementations. As CPU Architect here you will find there is plenty of scope to grow and progress as the company continues to expand (they are currently looking at opening a second UK office). Required for the CPU Architect position:
In-depth expertise within digital ASIC RTL design, integration and verification witihin a CPU / SoC environmentExperience modelling with Matlab (or similar)Good working knowledge of the complete ASIC design flowExpertise of embedded processors (RISC-V ideal), bus architectures and high-speed memoriesCandidates must be eligible to work in the UK for this position.
