This role will be within the Chassis & Motion Control Systems team, forming part of the Chassis Engineering group within SV. The team provides systems engineering, control system and software design and development expertise for existing and future chassis related features such as Suspension Control and Driver Modes.
This role is for a highly motivated engineer to lead the development, electrical integration and delivery of Chassis Systems. This includes SV specific chassis & motion control systems, re-use of existing Jaguar Land Rover suspension control systems being developed both internally and with external companies.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
As a Motion Controls Lead Engineer, you will be leading partner organisations in the development of new chassis and motion control systems onto future SV programmes in a timely manner according to vehicle programme timing and local delivery milestones.
You will be working closely with SV and core development teams in both chassis and electrical domains, ensuring that the Systems engineering process is followed. This includes integration of chassis and motion control systems onto new vehicle platforms, interfacing with the networks, infotainment, CCF and switchgear teams to deliver an integrated solution to each vehicle. You will work closely with system engineers to update and improve existing systems and architectures. Requirements analysis and decomposition, development and execution of validation process and associated simulation environments for functional validation and verification.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
Experience of systems development and delivery through all stages of the engineering development V cycle, including understanding of system principals
Knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project)
Degree in Electronics, Software or equivalent industry experience
Full UK driving license
Desirable:
Understanding of quality and robustness techniques and standards such as FMEA, P-Diagrams, noise factor analysis, and data analysis techniques to support this
Prior automotive controls experience such as Chassis, Motion Control or Driver Modes preferred, though strong candidates with relevant system experience from other industries such as aerospace will also be considered
Requirements and change management tools and processes, version control, control strategy documentation.
