On behalf of M&G, AMS are looking for a Senior Finance IT Analyst for a 12 month based remotely.The Role:The M&G Finance Technology Team is responsible for supporting the Technology senior leadership team with all aspects of Finance Business Partnering and Finance control across forecasting, budgeting, reporting and appraisal & delivery of Change initiatives to ensure strategic targets are met. The M&G Technology function is currently undergoing significant transformation change to both modernise its services and drive cost reductions. Given this an opportunity has arisen for 2x Senior Finance IT Analysts to support the IT programmes in delivering their outcomes. Key Responsibilities for this role:Working closely with the programmes to complete month end, forecasts and spend vs. budget reviews to ensure programme spend is clearly understood and overall requirements remains within approved budgetsCo-ordinate updates to independently track and validate financial benefits delivered and develop forecast of expected benefits for inclusion in wider Technology on-going cost budgets and forecastsPrepare & present monthly financial performance packs for both spend & cost savings for Finance Business Partner leads, Programme Boards, and central Transformation Office stakeholders - be a critical friend, providing challenge where necessary and facilitating their programme objectivesWork as part of the wider Technology Finance Business Partnering team to ensure programme outcomes remain aligned to latest on-going forecasts and all remain aligned to latest timings, risks and opportunities, and dependenciesProvide support to the Lead Senior FBP's for timetabling/ running processes in order to facilitate a smooth operationManage the relationship with the various programme support teams to ensure Financial policy and governance remains in Place.Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:Strong knowledge of IT services and associate cost drivers, preferably across infrastructure, cloud and softwareVery strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrable ability to play back business inputs into a simple output that outlines issues and drive decisionsAbility to develop and update various cost models (in excel) that aids easy understanding of saving levers & drivers, timing, and output in a simple output that is easy to understand by all stakeholdersAbility to determine project Financial KPIs across profit, cash, IRR and paybackSelf-starter, able to work with business to break down the ask and model outcomes with limited hand holding and confident to challenge IT on items not delivery required outcomesBeing organised, drive delivery and able to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines, ability to prioritise and juggle a demanding workload and manages conflicts that may impact deliveryIf you are interested in applying for this position and meet the criteria outlined above, please click the link to apply and we will contact you with an update in due course.The IR35 status of this assignment will be assessed following the selection process and prior to confirmation of assignment offer.At M&G Diversity and Inclusion is a strategic objective.
