We are searching for a Continuous Improvement Analyst for an exciting business based in Devon.You will be responsible for identifying and rectifying areas of operational waste within the company, and you will help to deliver on strategic targets, coaching, training, and assessing others working across departments, leading multi-functional teams through process improvement projects. You will be helping to implement business transformational change and continuous improvement strategy taking into consideration organisational structure, commercial approaches, culture, people, and processes.The successful candidate is going to contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice operational processes and procedures to aid and improve performance. You will contribute to new business initiatives and projects, and you will review and communicate the impact of Lean activities.The Continuous Improvement Analyst will use strategic processes to drive growth, cost reduction initiatives and efficiencies across the company. In this role, through analytic examination and process improvement efforts, you will proactively identify opportunities and provide solutions for manufacturing operations by using cross department collaboration and best practice sharing. The Continuous Improvement Analyst will report to the Lean Director.You will be responsible for the following;Developing a robust culture for waste reduction and process improvements.Implementing and supporting cultural change to drive business improvement.Lead Kaizen events to methodically action business improvements.Identify and deploy Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to deliver quantified bottom-line performance improvement.To develop and support Continuous Improvement (CI) culture in the company and its divisions.Effective deployment of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, business process assessment, planning, facilitation and execution of Kaizen events, and the systemic improvement of standard work practices and procedures.Use performance metrics to measure the scope of the improvement opportunity.Participate in project management idea creation, planning, implementation, and KPI tracking.Develop, deliver, and support business improvement change initiatives.Develop and contribute towards improvement standards in line with best practice.Provide expertise, professional advice, and guidance to the business in business improvement, drawing from proven industry practice and methodologies.Report on progress of projects, understanding the risks, dependencies, budgets, resourcing, issues, critical milestones and forthcoming pipeline, and actions necessary to ensure success.Define, develop, and publish business improvement process documentation to reflect best practice.Produce written reports and make presentations.Undertake continuous training and development.Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.Identify business improvement opportunities within the company.Skills and Experience Relevant experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement or Waste Reduction methods.Ideally you will be a Black Belt or Green Belt in Six Sigma or equivalent qualification advantageous.Background in process improvement and project management.Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.Excellent organisational and follow-up skills.Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.Commercially and financially aware.High degree of computer literacy, particularly able to use Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and other communications software such a MS Teams.Excellent people skills and ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders and employees at all levels.
