If you are interested in being considered, please feel free to message me for more details or click on the link below to apply!This project will leverage the advantages of Cloud computing, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and adoption of a continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline in order to get capability out to the field more quickly under a new contract referred to as the Global Application Delivery Network (GADN). This process will meet all regulatory testing and cybersecurity requirements in order to continue the already established lean, user-centered approach that redefines how programs within the customer portfolio deliver capability to the United States Air Force warfighter. This effort has a strong focus on engagement with the end-user community to ensure we are rapidly meeting their highest priority needs. Responsibilities...The architect shall be, at least, a mid to senior level engineer capable of mentoring junior team members.The architect shall be able to create, understand, and modify design diagrams of Infrastructure service capabilities based on changing requirements.The architect shall be able to convert user requirements into technical solutions and recommendations.The architect shall be able to assist in the design of Kubernetes based hosting infrastructure.The architect must maintain currency on new and upcoming hybrid cloud-based technologies and service offerings, to merge into or replace existing services to meet ever changing requirements.The architect shall be able to provision, manage, and secure cloud infrastructure with expertise through technologies such as infrastructure as code (IAC), autoscaling resource services, zero trust architecture, backup strategies, and hybrid cloud to on premise native services.The architect shall be able to assist in design and implementation of reliable, highly available, and secure infrastructure systems and services.The architect shall ensure Infrastructure Engineers follow designed implementations of systems using automation and IAC to ensure secure repeatable builds.The architect shall possess effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders internal and external to the organization.The engineer shall need the ability to brief highly technical concepts and operations to teams of limited technical expertise and also to teams of highly specialized Infrastructure personnel. Requirements…Five-plus (5+) years of demonstrated experience working as an engineer leveraging large scale hybrid cloud infrastructure as their primary application platform.Resume demonstrates experience with agile and lean software development practices, and supporting infrastructure used for hosting container-based services.Resume demonstrates deep understanding of modern security best practices for cloud infrastructure and networks.Three-plus (3+) years of demonstrated experience building declarative infrastructure using modern Infrastructure as Code techniques.Resume demonstrates experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, JSON, and Python).Resume has at least one (1+) or more examples of successfully transforming large-scale software, data center, and/or on-premise infrastructure programs to a containerized cloud- native architecture.Industry recognized certification in technologies such as Security, Cloud Computing, On Premise computing, Linux, Vmware, Windows, etc.DoD 8570 compliance at the IAT Level III within 6 months of hire, IAT level II at time of hire.
