Java Developer Remote / WfH to £100k

Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer *Remote WFH*. Are you a senior technologist seeking a role where you can work with and influence a modern Java based AWS microservices tech stack?

You could be joining a fast growing FinTech that's SaaS solutions are helping High Street banks to compete with the challenge from their online tech driven rivals, working on challenging systems and progressing your career.

As a Java Developer will be a senior member of the team responsible for the core banking technology platform. You'll collaborate to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility, assisting with Architecture and Design of new and current systems. The platform is built with Java on AWS with delivery based on LESS (Large Scale Scrum), every new feature is backed by automated test suites to run in the CI pipeline encompassing unit, component and integration tests (BDD using Cucumber). You'll gain exposure to a wide range of technology and will continually learn along the way.

There's a remote interview / onboarding process and the ability to work from home full-time in a "remote first" culture with occasional team meet-ups and socials.

Requirements:

You have strong modern core Java design and development skills including Spring, ideally SpringBoot

You have experience with high volume processing and real-time distributed systems

You have a good knowledge of cloud based microservices (AWS preferred)

You're experienced with TDD / BDD and an advocate of high quality, clean code

You have experience with some / all of the following: Kafka, Hadoop, Spark (or other data streaming); SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Swagger; CI tools, SonarQube, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins; Cucumber

You're collaborative with good communication skills; keen to learn and discuss ideas
