Cloud Operations Manager for a lead role in a new structure. Strong MS Azure cloud infrastructure knowledge required to manage a team and work with the supplier in the implementation, security and operation of the NHG Cloud platform. Microsoft, Azure tools, full network environment, telephony solutions.

Our client, NHG, Notting Hill Genesis, a well-established and customer focussed housing association, is undertaking a major, digital change programme moving services to the cloud for greater business efficiency, using the latest Microsoft Cloud and ITSM, ServiceNow technologies.

Can you play a key part in this? Can you as the Cloud Operations Manager take a lead role in the new structure, contributing a strong cloud infrastructure knowledge, proactively manage the team and provide oversight for the suppliers in the implementation, security and operation of the NHG Cloud infrastructure platforms?

As the Cloud Ops Manager you'll,

define, plan & deliver the strategic infrastructure platform, ensuring the cloud platform is managed effectively

manage & monitor the performance of systems and services, to agreed service levels

lead and line manage a team of Senior/Cloud and Infrastructure Analysts, DBA's, ensuring the cloud platform supports NHG's business strategy, and that our cloud and Infrastructure services meets the needs of the business

capture and prioritise business requirements and propose changes to the cloud platform based on requirements, contributing to architecture

contribute to the security policy, investigating breaches, recommending improvements and preparing against vulnerabilities

continuity management, capacity and availability management and problem management are part of the role along with governance and cost management.

Customer service carries a high priority in NHG, across IT, corporate functions and stakeholders and out into the business. So, your management of suppliers and MSPs will be key, building strong partnerships ensuring SLAs, KPIs and performance metrics meet agreed service levels.

The Technical environment includes the full Microsoft Cloud environment, Azure tools and services. AD, Backup & Site Recovery, Arc, Monitor, Bastion, Sentinel and Policy. Plus a full network & systems environment Telephony solutions VoIP (Mitel), Windows PC, mobile phones, tablets and Server operating systems.

You will need, along with a Computer Science/similar degree or an equivalent business level qualification, an ITIL certification plus relevant MS Azure certifications & advanced MS Office skills;

previous infrastructure management experience in a public cloud environment

a solid technical understanding of complex infrastructure and software in a MS Azure environment.

a good understanding of operations & business priorities + technical experience outlined.

Softer skills will include an enthusiastic, collaborative, analytical, robust and methodical approach with clear & concise written & communication skills. Comfortable working across all levels in the business, presenting to teams and managers, you'll be open to change, able to facilitate, gain the support of others, influence outcomes, work independently or as part of a team.

The office base is Kings Cross, London. In the current environment, IT are working remotely but you'll need to attend the Kings Cross office on a hybrid basis as required.

This role offers a base salary of £72,000pa plus benefits which include generous annual leave, Health Cash Plan, Season Ticket loan, Life Assurance, a generous contributory pension offer and other benefits.
