3rd Line Support Engineer - Windows-Remote- 6 months +Role: 3rd Line Support Engineer - WindowsLocation: RemoteDuration: 6 months + Our client, a market leading multi-national technology consultancy are looking for a 3rd Line Support Engineer, to join them on a customer-based project based in Remote (Occasional travel to Sunbury if able to). The assignment is an initial 6-month contract and can offer a competitive daily rate via UmbrellaProject Role/Description: We are looking for a multi-skilled 3rd line engineer, who has both support experience and has worked in a team, delivering solutions, based on client requirements. Essential skills and experienceWindows server support experience across multiple domainsThe ability to investigate, manage and resolve issues on Windows servers remotelyPowerShell skills; whilst not in depth, a decent proficiency level is requiredThe ability to consume requirements and translate them into deliverables as part of a team responsible for critical infrastructure; this would need to be done with little or no supervisionWorking understanding of DevOps practices; this needs to be evidenced to show the ability to be able to work in operations as well as to be part of a team developing and delivering solutions as required Nice to have:Azure Stack HCI knowledge or experienceExperience in working with branch office environments and edge assetsMajor Incident resolution; this would require experience and the correct mindset to trouble shooting across the infrastructure to resolve incidents of varied and unpredictable nature remotelyExperience with troubleshooting infrastructure (Windows Server configuration, middleware, firewall rules etc.) when investigating application issues As part of being able to deliver on the above, the right person would have decent working knowledge and experience of the following:Good PowerShell scripting skills and ability to automate Microsoft Windows server and client jobsExperience in analysing customer requirements for changes and proposing solutionsGood experience in supporting Server 2012, Server 2019, ESXI and Hyper-V infrastructuresExperience in supporting Windows 10 OS clientsGood GPO, AD, DNS management experienceKeen and able to learn new hardware and software off-the-shelf technologies/systems and enhance themExperience as part of a team, responsible for resolving Major IncidentsPackaging applications for deployment to clients/servers via system management tools (SCCM, LANDesk, etc.) If this sounds like you, apply now!
