Working in collaboration with the business and Data & Analytics colleagues, as a Senior Data Engineer you will develop and construct data products and services and integrate them into systems and business processes. As we continue to invest in new technologies, you will design and lead the implementation of data flows to connect operational systems, data for analytics and business intelligence systems. You'll also recognise opportunities to re-use existing data flows, optimise code to ensure processes perform optimally and lead work on database management.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer to join a fast-paced commercial business at an exciting time as the we continue to grow and develop, transform and evolve our data strategy.
Please note as part of our Seasalt Connected approach to ways of working, this role can be based flexibly across our Cornwall head office locations and remotely, subject to the individual's choice and agreement with the line manager. Further details can be discussed at interview.

The skills you'll be sharing with the team:
With strong previous data engineering and analysis experience, you'll have a track record of development with cloud hosted data/integration architectures on Microsoft Azure, including Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Tabular SSAS and Power BI datasets. Your development experience will also include Visual Studio, SQL Server, SSIS, SQL and T-SQL and ideally Azure Devops. Data modelling and architecture schemas, ETL tools, scripting and scheduling will all be familiar to you, plus self-serve BI tools.
A logical thinker with an eye for detail, you'll have excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills. You'll be able to effectively manage multiple priorities and conflicting requests in a fast-moving environment and be highly adaptable. You'll also have strong communication and team work skills with the ability to influence technical decisions.
