We started with a dev squad cutting code, developing leading web apps in the cloud, and other leading-edge stuff. Partnering with Microsoft early on in their Azure development, we were one of the first Microsoft Gold Cloud Partners - and we still are today.The Role:We are looking for a Data Architect or perhaps a Senior Data Engineer with experience of designing and developing cloud-based data solutions.This is a key role in our data practice, which acts as technical lead for Data Platform projects and delivery, enabling our customers to transform their legacy environments using proven and the latest Microsoft Azure data tools.This is a technical hands-on role to design cutting edge data solutions, and to support the team to execute through build, migration and transforming Cloud Data Platforms.You will advise on solution options for a business need, clearly presenting the technical components and their implications for cost, functional and non-functional capabilities.You will act as the technical escalation point and provide troubleshooting support for Azure Data solutions.Support the Project team to capture technical requirements.Produce design documentation to present to customers and their governance boards, securing approval from their Design Authorities.Solution build and migration to Azure.About you:Previous experience within a Data Architect position, or perhaps you hold relevant experience within a senior data engineering positionDesign and implementation experience developing modern, cutting-edge Azure data platforms and solutions using services such as Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Data Bricks, Stream Analytics, Data Lake, Blob Storage, SQL Server, Analysis Services and PowerBI.Data integration and modelling.Good knowledge of SQL server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Experience in data warehouse migrations from on-prem to cloud.The following experience would be advantageous:Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Certification DP-200 and DP-201 ( DP 203 )Competent in at least one programming language: Python, R, Powershell, C#.Data Science experience.API services.Benefits: 25 days annual leave (accrue more with length of service)Pension schemePrivate medical (includes physio & mental health)Monthly socialsRegular care packages delivered to your homeFully remote home-based workingWe ask that travel to Manchester isn't too laborious (you need to be able to get Manchester couple times a year)Flexible office spaces available in Manchester Central, Reading & FarringdonFully flexible working hours.Access to learning platforms and we will fund exams5 days paid study leave to further your technical understanding and certify2 charity days per annumPerks at work discountsPlease click the APPLY button to send your CV & Cover Letter for this role.Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of; IT Programmer, Developer, Programmer, Software Programming, Software Development, IT Developer, IT Software Engineer, Software Development Engineer, Software Developer, Software Engineer, Java Engineer, Application Support Officer, Application Support, Sharepoint, Web Analyst, IT Application Support, IT Data Analyst, Data Support Analyst, ICT Data Analyst, SQL Server, .NET, XML, Java, Data Analyst, SQL Analyst, SQL Developer, Oracle 12c, Agile, Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, C#, PHP, Perl may also be considered for this role.
