We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation, and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

The Role

We have an outstanding opportunity to head up our Finance & ERP Solutions team at a time of great transformation as we bring together two wonderful organisations, Cambridge University Press and Cambridge Assessment, into an exciting new one.

We are in the early stages of defining our strategy and our systems solutions to combine our financial systems and bring together our ERP.  We are running on two separate SAP systems and looking to move to a unified SAP solution that will set us up for our future success.  This role will be a key leader in this endeavour.

This role leads a function comprised of in-house and third-party resources, both on- and off-shore, split into Solutions Ownership/Architecture, Service (Run) and Change Delivery teams.  In the wider organisation this role provides SAP thought leadership and direction, influencing stakeholders from executive board level to functional business, Finance and Operations areas.

The role is Cambridge-based with support for hybrid working from home options.  This is a full time (35 hours/week) role, but we are open to flexibility in working hours.

About You

You will need great interpersonal skills and extensive experience of SAP and of influencing organisational change to take responsibility for this business-critical function.

You will be able to demonstrate a track record of providing thought leadership on SAP technologies and influencing senior stakeholders on the strategic roadmap.  You will equally be able to demonstrate skills in motivating and leading technical teams to run production services and deliver transformational change.

Experience of post-merger integration activities would be advantageous.

The closing date for application is 14th January and interview dates are to be confirmed.
