Database Administrator / Linux SysAdmin London/ WfH to £80k

Database Administrator / Linux SysAdmin / DBA (MySQL MariaDB) *Remote Interview WfH*. Do you have a range of skills across database and systems administration? You could be progressing your career and working with a range of technology at a highly successful sports data company that provide statistical information on a range of sports (e.g. Cricket, Tennis, Ruby and Football) to broadcasters and other media outlets.

As a Database Administrator / Linux SysAdmin you will be responsible for the set-up, configuration and maintenance of the core platform as well as managing scalability, performance, availability and health of databases (MySQL / MariaDB). Day-to-day you'll monitor performance, maintain systems and troubleshoot any issues or outages; maintain dedicated root servers and configure new servers at remote data centres; ensure security via access controls, backups and firewalls and pro-actively identify potential issues and ways to improve / automate.

You'll join a motivated and collaborative team; there's currently a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home, following social distancing you'll join colleague in the South London office for as little as one day a week or as often as desired.

Requirements:

You have experience with MySQL / MariaDB administration and database management

You have Linux Systems administration experience including configuration and maintenance

You have a good knowledge of Data Centres and cloud services

You're collaborative and pragmatic with great communication skills
