Junior Software Developer in Test C++ Cambridge / WfH to £50k

Junior Software Developer in Test / QA Engineer (Automation C++) *Hybrid WfH*. Do you enjoy problem solving; breaking things and taking them apart to see how they work so you can put them back together?

You could be progressing your career as a Junior Software Developer in Test / QA Engineer, working on challenging and stimulating projects at a successful software house, you'll help to ensure the quality of cutting edge products aimed at the automotive sector and high performance cars (already embedded in over 30 million cars worldwide).

As a Junior Software Developer in Test you'll be joining a small team dedicated to ensuring the quality of the core product for both mobile and desktop devices. Your role will focus on automated testing; you'll be writing test code in Python and C and adding functionality to the existing Python-based framework. You'll gain considerable responsibility and will be able to influence the quality of the software from an early stage.

There's a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; in time you'll join colleagues in offices based in Cambridge city centre once or twice a month with the majority of the time working from home with flexible hours (more office time if desired).

Requirements:

You're a technologist who enjoys problem solving

You're able to write code using C++

You have a good understanding of software architecture and testing

Ideally you will have experience of testing embedded software or software on mobile devices, although you can pick this up on the job
