Excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a global market leader, in a technically interesting role where you'll be able to manage projects through from concept to manufacturing.

On offer is the chance to step into a busy engineering department who will fully invest in you with training in their niche industry and offering the progression route to become Deputy Engineering Manager.

This specialist manufacturer who have recently celebrated their 20th Anniversary specialise in designing and manufacturing products for the oil/gas industry. Their success has led them to be the largest manufacturer of their goods globally, with other production facilities also overseas. Due to a heavier workload, they are expanding their Engineering Design team, and are seeking a Design Engineer to step into a leading figure within this department.

In this role, you'll be working on projects from concept briefs through to completion. You'll be designing mechanical oil/gas products, dealing with initial design, prototyping, testing and project management. You'll receive on-the-job training in their niche industry from experts in the field to equip you with the knowledge needed.

There is direct progression in this role to move to become the Deputy Engineering Manager at the business.

The Role:

*Mechanical Design of oil/gas products

*Using Solidworks

*Industry training

*Seeing projects through from concept to completion

*Progression to Deputy Engineering Manager

*Concept design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing and documentation

The Person:

*Previous experience in a Mechanical Design Engineering role

*Any sector considered

*Sheet Metal experience

*Mechanical Engineering Qualification

*Proficient with SolidWorks
