As a Barclays Business Design Analyst you will be a key member of the Payments team. You will be shaping, defining and prioritising new initiatives and changes. You will work with the Product Owner, Engineers, Business Stakeholders and Project Managers to define and help in the execution of positive change to benefit our customers and internal stakeholders. Determining what the project wants to deliver and support/ input to the definition of the scope/ MVP and produce business capabilities for the project as a result
Working with the Product Manager, Product Owner and business SMEs to create high level design docs, process flows etc.
Using your knowledge of HLD to define and create business user stories to enable engagement with engineers and development teams
Working with dev teams to elaborate stories, answer questions/ provide relevant information and generally transfer knowledge for what needs to be delivered
Providing ongoing support throughout build as and when required
Ratifying test scenarios and support through test
Writing tech user stories with developers, where applicable
Understanding and complying with the requirements of Barclays Agile Change Lifecycle and Group-mandated business change methods, standards and tools
What we're looking for:
Excellent written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills
Outstanding analytical skills so that a customer's business needs are properly interpreted and translated into application and operational requirements
Ability to create workable solutions to business problems
Understanding of product development and management in an agile environment
Skills that will help you in the role:
Business Analysis certification or relevant industry experience
Experience with software development and/ or SaaS product integration
The ability to make yourself understood when communicating large amounts of information to a broad range of readers and stakeholders
Tenacity and the ability to be highly productive in a fast paced environment Where will you be working?
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.
We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
