As IT Infrastructure Engineer you will provide IT Infrastructure technical support to the UK & Ireland & external customers. Implement, manage and support the organisations IT infrastructure: compute, storage, networking, firewalls, telephony, physical & virtual infrastructure, software & SaaS services. You will also act as a point of escalation for team members and the business for issues relating to the company's IT infrastructure.Client DetailsMichael Page Technology are delighted to have partnered with a leading technology solutions provider to support them with the recruitment of an IT Infrastructure Engineeer.DescriptionWhat you'll be doing:As IT Infrastructure Engineer you will provide IT Infrastructure technical support to the UK & Ireland & external customers. Implement, manage and support the organisations IT infrastructure: compute, storage, networking, firewalls, telephony, physical & virtual infrastructure, software & SaaS services. You will also act as a point of escalation for team members and the business for issues relating to the company's IT infrastructure.Responsibilities:Implement changes to, manage and support IT infrastructure: compute, storage, networking, firewalls, telephony, physical, virtual & cloud infrastructure, software & SaaS services.Resolution of support incidents and requests within agreed SLAs.Support BAU & IT project delivery.Support the on-boarding of customers onto service platforms.Contribute to / create installation instructions and deployment strategies, including test and validation plansLiaise with development teams, other territories and 3rd parties supporting the organisations IT infrastructure.Deliver projects to and within defined processes, best practices and frameworks, including quality system procedures, and participate in continuous improvement activity, to drive process improvement, elimination of waste, time savings and cost reductions.2nd/3rd line logging, assessment & prioritisation of issues / incidents and problems on the IT Service Desk.ProfileKey skills & experience:Strong working knowledge of the following:Server hardware (ideally HP / Dell)Windows Server operating systems (2003, 2008, 2012, 2016 & 2019)Active Directory support and management including Group PolicyDFS, ADFS, DHCP, DNS, IISSAN Storage (ideally HP, Dell) configuration and supportVirtualisation technologies including VMware vSphere & Hyper-V & Microsoft Azure installation and supportBackup technologies (ideally Veeam)TCP/IP networking. LAN / WAN technologies inc wirelessExperience using Enterprise software deployment e.g SCCM, SOTI, Desktop CentralCloud Technologies; Office 365, Microsoft TeamsSecurity patching WSUSEnterprise Anti-Virus deploymentsRemote Desktop Services installation and supportJob OfferSalary:£40,000 - £45,000 per annumFlexible/Remote working available.
