Working with our best in class technology teams in Manchester you will be part of the full lifecycle: designing, building and running a greenfield API and Events platform. You'll help us to power the revolution through developer-centric services. Defining and coaching your team on testing and quality, you will be empowered to balance quality and speed. As a team, you will have the freedom to define how we deliver quality applications as you engage with users, gather insights through our observability tools and enhance our CI/CD pipelines.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer in Test, you will advocate for defined quality criteria throughout the SDLC in a cross-functional team, ensuring that the team quality is a team responsibility. You will gain insights into the usage of our APIs through observability tools and working closely with our users and ensure performance & security requirements are continuously tested, using CI/CD principles where possible. You role will be to own and support software from development to testing to operation and beyond working closely with other engineers and disciplines within the wider Technology and Services team and help define the wider API testing strategy and continuously improve the engineering practices in Jaguar Land Rover. You will participate in workshops to help identify, design and refine user requirements and work with technical and non-technical business stakeholders to understand and implement software features.
WHAT YOULL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Experience developing and testing bespoke built enterprise scale cloud-native applications
Passion for mentoring and technical coaching
Working knowledge and experience of event-driven microservice architectures, RESTful APIs and message queues
Experience with a variety of automated quality tooling such as Cypress, Postman, Puppeteer.
Experience with modern CI/CD tools and techniques
