We have an exciting opportunity within our IT and Digital Services (IDS) team to take a significant role within this transformative journey.
The IT and Digital Services Developer and Infrastructure Lead is a senior hands-on position within the IT and Digital Services (IDS) team delivering management and service activities in line with departmental standards, guidelines, defined delivery frameworks and operating practices.
Due to the nature of this exciting role, there is a requirement to be multiskilled in both the developer and infrastructure skills sets and as such key attributes for these areas will be:
Developer Experience & Knowledge
Knowledge and substantial proven experience in software development, the software life cycle and managing workload and delivering agreed timescales along with experience in some or all of the following:
LifeRay, Java & Groovy
Power Bi
Python
Utilising Restful/HTTP API's, testing and debugging using Postman
Microsoft Azure
SQL Server 2016+, T-SQL, SSIS
Visual Studio 2010+
HTML, JavaScript, CSS
XML, XSD, JSON
Network architecture and protocols such as SNMP, HTTP, SOAP, SOA-Web Services
Agile / Lean and Traditional methodologies
Infrastructure Experience & Knowledge
Knowledge and experience in a wide variety of server, storage and backup hardware and software platforms.
Knowledge and experience of data (LAN, WAN, VLAN and Wireless) networks and voice networks
Infrastructure software administration
Infrastructure security administration and monitoring
Cloud services design, support, and administration.
Database administration and support.
