SENIOR ASIC DESIGN ENGINEER - Cork This is a superb opportunity to join my client, who are looking to build and grow a first-class R&D center for multiple highly skilled technical areas in the semiconductor market in Cork. A city which is vastly becoming the place to be in the Semiconductor world! In particular an Automotive group focusing on Analog, Digital and Communications areas. This role is working for a company who pride themselves on individual development, growth and truly developing the next generation of talent - from graduate through to Principal level. As an ASIC Design Engineer you will get the opportunity to join a leading provider of embedded control applications in the Automotive group in their technology hub in Cork. I am looking for Engineers with 4-8 years experience (ideally) to join this division at the beginning of their next growth stage! It truly is an exciting time to join. This group develops networking and related ICs for a broad range of applications and their products are found in more than 250 car models. The group has a global presence with teams in multiple locations, with the team in Cork specifically working on low power networking ICs which will involve communication systems, analog and digital expertise. Reporting to the Digital Design Manager your primary role is to design and implement RTL for digital IC products and conduct post-silicon bring up activities. Key job responsibilities will include:
Architecture and development of digital blocks in digital ASIC productsKnowledge in Integrated Circuit development flowRTL design implementationBlock and chip level simulationSynthesis, definition of synthesis constraints, Static Timing AnalysisJob Requirements
4 - 8+ years of experience in digital IC design with experience in taking projects from architecture to mass production.Experience in RTL coding, simulations, synthesis and timing closure.Experience in defining micro-architecture for blocks, identifying and resolving implementation hurdles for robust IC design.Experience with post-silicon bring up and validation is a strong advantage.Understanding and experience in different communication protocols is a strong advantage - e.g. Ethernet, USB, I2C, I2S, SPI.Strong digital communication system background with familiarity of DSP algorithms and Matlab is a strong advantage.As a top company my client offer relocation, sponsorship where required and an excellent package which also includes 2 bonus schemes, RSU’s and private medical care.
