Senior IT Support Engineer London to £60k

Senior IT Support Engineer (Desktop Windows Networking). Do you have a broad range of IT / Desktop Support experience? You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on role at a market leading FinTech company that provides a highly functional, data centric suite of software products to support post-trade processing for clients including most of the financial institutions across the globe.

As a Senior IT Support Engineer you will support internal staff, providing an excellent onboarding experience from IT equipment procurement, set up of user accounts, devices and any software required providing an excellent level of customer service to all staff including C-Suite, ensuring that video conferencing facilities are set up ready for important meetings.

You'll also manage and maintain the secure cloud office services including Google Workspace, VoIP, Cisco Umbrella, OpenVPN, Sophos EDR and Chocolatey Enterprise amongst others, take ownership of office IT infrastructure projects and manage vendors to ensure optimal performance of 3^rd party technologies.

Please note that due to the nature of the role you'll be expected in the City office most days with some flexibility and occasional weekend work.

Requirements:

You have a broad range of IT Support experience

You have a strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows including AD, policies and troubleshooting; Exchange / Microsoft Office 365 ideally with PowerShell scripting experience

You have a good knowledge of basic networking such as routers, switches, firewalls, DNS

You have a good understanding of security concepts and controls

You're familiar with and keen to learn more of the following: git, Linux Debian, Google Workspace, Sophos EDR and Cisco Umbrella

You're a pro-active individual, keen to progress your career and take on more responsibility

You're collaborative with excellent communication skills
