Job Title: 2nd Line IT Support TechnicianLocation: LondonSalary: £27,500 -£35,000 D.O.EJob type: Permanent, Full timeClarion is a well-established, progressive and environmentally conscious IT & Telecoms Managed Service Provider providing on/offsite support to the SME marketplace in London and remote Support to users beyond.We currently provide this support in the following forms:- To act as a fully outsourced IT Dept.- To work alongside a company's own personnel to complement in-house skills- On a retained or ad-hoc basisKey Responsibilities:Manage and monitor the delivery of IT services within Clarion and to our clientsProvide on/off-site server, desk-top, network hardware/software support to our client baseProvide expert support on Windows and Mac operating systemsProvide support on disaster recovery solutions used by our clientsAssist with providing software & hardware quotesAssist IT manager with project planningAssist with keeping ticket system in checkWork with 3rd party suppliers and vendors for various support ticketsKeep up-to-date with new technologies and upgrades on current systems and ensure that these are implemented accordinglyThe Candidate:Enthusiastic, energetic, proactive, highly organised and with the ability to multi-taskCapable of installing software/hardware on desktop, laptops, printers etc and related software and supporting it to a 1st / 2nd line support levelExperience of delivering quality service and customer satisfactionExperience and ability to absorb new information swiftlyAbility to translate complex technical issues to non-technical users.Excellent phone mannerAbility to communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, 3rd party support and suppliersAbility to understand SLA's and operate within them, keeping clients updated accordinglyAbility to write and keep clear, concise and accurate electronic reports/recordsPunctual with good time managementAbility to monitor security alerts and backup notificationsAbility to log and prioritise support requests and understand when to escalate themAbility to remain cool under pressureAbility to work as a team to ensure workloads are managedTechnical Skills: Essential: Windows OS 7-10, Mac OSX, Google Chrome, Microsoft SurfaceNetworking, LAN, WAN, Routers understandingiOS, Active Sync, AndroidExperience using and administrating Office365, Teams & SharePointUnderstanding of networking Understanding of server administrationOffice 2013 to 2019Ability to configure web-managed routersIoS, Android, Smart Device experiencegood understanding of IT security and best practicesDesirable: Firewalls, VPN, Vlans, DMZ, VOIP understandingExperience with Hosted Solutions (Exchange, Desktop, Server etc)Microsoft Azure, MDM SolutionsApplications like Sage 200 Accounts, CRM solutions such as ACT!Hyper V, VMwareCisco CCNA, Cisco MerakiRemote management Tools e.g SolarWinds, Addigy, Logmein, Team ViewerZendesk, SolarWinds Ticketing SystemNetwork design, Microsoft ExchangeWindows Server 2008-2016 - AD, DNS, Group Policy, DHCPMCSA/MCSE, Microsoft accreditationCompany benefits Basic Salary of £27,500-£35,000 per annum - dependant on experience25 days holiday + bank holidaysProfessional Qualifications SponsorshipCompany Pension SchemePerformance Related Bonus Scheme (discretionary)Free use of Corporate Health Club MembershipThis is a full-time vacancy that can be office-based or hybrid remote.Due to high response, only suitable candidates will be contactedPlease click on the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of: IT Support Technician, 2nd Line Support Engineer, 2nd Line Support, IT Assistant, Computer Technician, IT Executive, IT Support, Computer Support may also be considered for this role.
