I am currently recruiting for a stress analysis engineer and a CFD experienced analysis engineer for an exciting customer. This is an Outside IR35 role and will be initially working from home.StressStress Analysis dealing with structural integrity of fuel cell and stack components as well as Fuel Cell Module, Mfg equipment such as furnaces, drilling machines etc., RCA SupportThe expertise required encompasses:Linear / nonlinear, static / dynamic stress analysisKnowledge and ability to model high temperature metals nonlinear behaviour (creep, fatigue, relaxation)Creep Analysis using Ansys or NcodeFatigue and Crack Analysis using Ansys, Ncode or DarwinExperience with hot metals structural behaviour and mechanical degradation phenomena and failure modesExperience with ceramic Materials and CMC could be a plusKnowledge of Robust Design Techniques is a plusKnowledge of mfg processes including laser welding and relative stress modelling could be a plusAbility to support Testing Houses, designing tailored mechanical test of non-standard samples and componentsAt least 4 to 5 years in a stress roleAbility to work with Ansys Workbench and / or Abaqus is paramountInterest in fuel cells/batteries/electrolysers or other electrochemical applications can be a plus Multiphysics /CFDMultiphysics and CFD Analysis dealing with electrical and thermal performance of fuel cell and stack components as well as Fuel Cell Module, Mfg equipment such as furnaces, drilling machines etc., RCA Support Excellent hand-calculation and excel-based analysis skills to back up detailed analysis resultsAt least five years' performing analysis simulations (predominantly CFD/Flow/Thermal/Multiphysics) in a professional engineering environmentAbility to multi-task between the analysis requirements of different projects and different CFD/MP software. Understanding of CAE modelling process stages including meshing, boundary conditions, solution optimisation and results interpretationExperience and Understanding of different types of CAE analysis used to solve real-world design problemsFlow/CFD simulationThermal simulation (CHT)Multi-Physics simulation (electrochemistry, combustion, species transport, charge transport, porous media etc)Experience with ANSYS Fluent, StarCCM and/or COMSOLFlexibility to learn and perform different types of analysisUnderstanding of Robust Design techniques applied to analysis simulations (i.e. DOE, Monte Carlo, Optimization, Data Matching, etc.).Interest in fuel cells/batteries/electrolysers or other electrochemical applications can be a plusIf interested, please apply with an up to date CV and I will call to discuss.Please click here to find out more about our Key Information Documents.
