THE OPPORTUNITY

A number of exciting opportunities have arisen for skilled and enthusiastic Engineers to join our central Vehicle Cyber Security team. Cyber Security is a fast paced and dynamic area of the automotive industry. You will be a critical part of the team, directly supporting the development of our Autonomous, Connected, Electric and Shared future to ensure we are robust to emerging security threats. The team provides Cyber Security expertise and leadership in a range of areas relating to Jaguar Land Rover vehicles as well as supporting infrastructure, and forms part of the Electrical and Vehicle Engineering department (EVE) within Jaguar Land Rover's product engineering function.

Upcoming legislation and standards such as UNECE.R155 and ISO21434 are driving a number of workstreams across a range of technical and non-technical areas of the business. As such we have several vacancies for lead engineers and systems engineers to join these activities, which include (but are not limited to) the following areas of Cyber Security:
* Process and methods development
* Legislation compliance
* Supply chain management

* Incident management and response

Supporting the deployment and operation processes and technical standards into other areas of the business

You will need to represent the department in wider business discussions, and show clear traceability through standards, process definition and technical documentation.

The exact responsibilities will depend on the specific role, but can be expected to include topics such as the following:
Apply system thinking and engineering knowledge to define & manage the delivery of a Jaguar Land Rover Cyber Security Management System (CSMS), consisting of robust cyber security processes and associated documents. Leading and directing engineers from suppliers and other outsource partners. Working with component delivery teams and cyber security experts to delivery high quality solutions to cyber security issues, gathering strong evidence of compliance for these systems to cyber security standards. Development of strategies and methods for activities such as cyber security supply chain management and cyber security testing. Support workshops and compliance discussions with certification authorities.
Participate in technical reviews and audits to maintain departmental and company standards & procedures. Ensure continuous improvement through effective lessons learned, knowledge capture and process development compliant with standards such as ISO21434. Establish and deploy best technical practice and knowledge transfer via formal training as well as informal mentoring. Be an advocate for a cyber security as a core business priority.

Youll need an ability to think analytically, rigorously and creatively with a commitment to quality and outstanding results. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to confer complex technical and procedural topics in a clear and concise form, confidently presenting to stakeholder, and experience leading engineers from outsource partners and suppliers.
