This is a fantastic opportunity to join a public sector body based in South Wales as a Technical Project Manager. The initial contract is until the end of the current financial year with a good chance of extending beyond.Client DetailsMy client is a public sector organisation with sites across South Wales. They are undertaking a major project to decommission their PSTN analogue network equipment.DescriptionThe successful Technical Project Manager will be responsible for:Managing a small team of technical specialists on the project to switch off PSTN, moving from analogue to digitalUtilising own technical knowledge to run discovery exercise on current equipment landscapeIdentifying the appropriate action for different equipment e.g. analogue to digital coverter, replace equipmentWorking with IT management team to utilise technical resources and report on project progressEnsuring successful project delivery to time, budget and scopeManaging project across multiple locationsProfileThe successful Technical Project Manager will possess:Previous experience delivering technical network or infrastructure projects within multi-site organisationSolid technical understanding, ability to get hands-on with discovery of current environment and suggest course of actionConfidence managing technical resourcesFantastic communication and reporting skills, both written and verbalPrevious public sector experience would be a bonus!Job Offer£300 - £350 per day dependent on experience.This role has been determined as outside IR35.
