Job title - Business Analyst (product delivery)Location - LondonRate - £440 PAYE or £654 UMBRELLAStart date - ASAPContract - 12 months HSBC are looking for a hands-on Business Analyst to join their team on a twelve-month contract. The role will focus on the processing lifecycles for both mandatory & voluntary Corporate Actions within the UK Direct & Global Custody business lines of Securities Services. The Business Analyst will help define requirements that are on the critical path for the upgrade of the incumbent Vendor platform (BaNCS)to the latest version. The position is a collaborative one, working closely with the other teams within Banks & Broker Dealer Sector including the Product Team to define appropriate solutions for business problems, the operational teams to validate the operational effectiveness of any solutions and the Technology teams to ensure there is a robust scalable solution in place.Product Delivery is a thriving and expert function that supports the Market & Securities Services Custody business globally. Our mission is to drive the digital transformation of Custody, through enabling delivery of digital channels and services, developing new products, strategic enhancements to our existing products as well as ensuring our products meet the regulatory / mandatory requirements within the markets that we operate. Key Accountabilities: Perform analysis to elicit requirements and create documentation such as Business and Functional Requirements and Solution Design for mandatory & voluntary Corporate Actions processingHold discussions with internal teams such as Product, Operations, Control and Technology as well as vendor teams where required to ensure requirements are appropriately managed and supported throughout the lifecycle.Understand and deliver the business and functional requirements for prioritized changes and manage the change to completionProactively challenge the status of risks / Issues to ensure the appropriate mitigation & remedial plans are in placeEnsure the upgrade is implemented in accordance with Industry Best practice guidelines, Market Standards and Vendor recommendations resulting in the streamlined & optimised business workflows to manage the lifecycle of all types of Corporate Actions on the TCS BaNCS platform.Encourage a positive working environment across disciplines and teams to ensure strong alignmentIdentify opportunities for improvement and suggestions for change Knowledge and experience:5+ years of practical experience in business analyst rolesKnowledge of Equities or Fixed Income within a Custodian environment or Broker Dealer for Settlements, or Asset Services is highly desirable but not essential for this roleExperience with Agile & Agile MethodsExperience in delivering complex business and Technology system related changes and documenting business / functional requirements.Excellent attention to detail, with ability to communicate to different levels of audienceStrong written and verbal communication skills.Sound understanding of Technology infrastructure and software development lifecycle in the context of system changesPositive 'can do' attitude in all aspects of performing job duties.Flexibility in approach, and the ability to show initiative and respond quickly to changing situations.Ability to manage ambiguity and work to bring clarity by effectively engaging clients or partnersAbility to execute role with a high level of autonomy while being mindful of when to seek guidance and approvalThrives working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment working across different groups and time zones.Must be a strong problem solver and effective communicator, with a partnership mindset If you are relevant or interested please don't delay, apply now.
